Bill Cosby gives first interview in two years, says he won't testify at criminal trial
In an interview with Michael Smerconish from SiriuxXM, he said “I decided that I think it’s time for me to do something so that the people who still have faith in me, the people who are still wondering what I sound like as opposed to The National Enquirer, which is very interesting reading when they write about me."
Cosby goes on trial next month on accusations he drugged an assaulted one of his accusers.
Andrea Constand is one of thirteen women who say the actor drugged and sexually assaulted them.
Her accusation stems from a 2004 encounter.
Last month, Cosby's daughter wrote an opinion piece published by the National Newspaper Publishers Association stating her father "is not abusive, violent or a rapist."
Instead, she wrote he "loves and respects women."
