Crash in Saco causes major delays on Maine Turnpike

SACO (WGME) – A serious crash between a tractor trailer truck and a pick-up carrying a camper, caused huge traffic delays on I-95 in Saco.

It happened Friday afternoon in the southbound lane.

Police say the camper was parked on the shoulder and was hit from behind by the big rig.

The driver of the pick-up was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the tractor trailer truck was not hurt.

The camper was destroyed.

At last check, police were searching through the rubble to make sure there were no other victims.
