'Pet Sematary' house up for sale
ORRINGTON (WGME) -- A house that inspired the "King of Horror" can be yours.
This property in Orrington is where writer Stephen King, came up with the idea for Pet Sematary.
The house is on the market for $255,000.
King told the Bangor Daily News he wrote the book in a store across the street.
King says his family lived in the house for a year.
He says at the time, his daughter's cat died, and was buried in an informal pet cemetery, behind the rental property.
A similar plot to the book, in which a cat, and a child who died, are buried and come back to life.
The house, built in 1904, has four bedrooms, two fireplaces, and a formal dining room.
