Portland Police search for smash-and-grab robbery suspect
PORTLAND (WGME) -- Portland Police are searching for a robbery suspect after a smash-and-grab.
According to police, just before 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, someone robbed the M.A. Storck Company on Forest Avenue.
The suspect used a hammer to smash a display cabinet and stole an undetermined amount of jewelry while the store was open.
He is described as a male suspect wearing a white baseball cap and sunglasses with a bandana over his face.
The suspect fled the store on foot, possibly down Woodfords Street towards Baxter Boulevard.
