Police continue to investigate death of toddler at Raymond day care
RAYMOND (WGME) -- An autopsy has been completed on a 16-month-old baby who died at a Raymond day care center Tuesday.
Maine State Police say Travis Weston was placed in the care of foster parents, who own the day care, in March.
The medical examiner's office did not release a cause of death, but officials say the boy had been sick for weeks with ear infections and was on medication.
Authorities say the baby was placed in a crib Tuesday for a nap and was found unresponsive.
Attempts to revive the child were unsuccessful.
State Police are investigating, which is standard with all children deaths under the age of three, but at this point they don't believe the baby's death is suspicious.
