BELGRADE (WGME) -- An overnight fire leveled the Belgrade Boat Shop as investigators work to find out what caused the fire.
According to the boat shop's Facebook page, the fire started around 2 a.m. Saturday. Firefighters from Belgrade and Oakland responded, but the fire destroyed the Oakland Road business.
"I’m posting this with a very heavy heart this morning," the post reads. "Around 2am on Saturday the 3rd of February, our business burned to the ground. We lost everything. Please bear with us through this difficult time, as we lost all of our customer files and don’t have a way to contact anyone right now."
A second post said, "There's nothing left."
Photographs on the boat shop's Facebook page show heavy fire overnight and the damage seen Saturday morning after sunrise.
The Belgrade Boat Shop's website said it has been in business since 2009.
No one was injured in the fire. One person was living on the premises but the house was not affected by the fire.
The state fire marshal's office is investigating.
The owners thanked firefighters for their quick response.
