PORTLAND (WGME) -- Marine Mammals of Maine says the "Cape Elizabeth Seals" will be released into the wild Thursday.
One of the seals was found wandering through the streets of Cape Elizabeth in January.
Both of the seals needed to learn how to eat fish while under the care of Marine Mammals of Maine.
“Thank you to the homeowners and concerned citizens who reported both of these seals to our hotline. As a result we were able to respond and offer supportive care.” Marine Mammals of Maine Executive Director Lynda Doughty said. “We’re thrilled that both are now healthy enough to return to the wild, where we hope they will thrive back in their own environment.”
The release will be at 11 a.m. at Head Beach in Phippsburg.
