Canoeists rescued after boats capsize in Brunswick
BRUNSWICK (WGME) -- Rescue crews responded to a 911 call for a water rescue in Thomas Bay in Brunswick early Friday morning.
Residents on Johnson’s Way called after hearing cries for help in the water.
Brunswick police say four people in two canoes had capsized in the bay.
One woman was able to swim to shore, and a second woman was recused by a Virginia tourist, according to police.
Rescue crews commandeered a rowboat and rescued the two remaining men.
All four are okay, according to police.
