STATEWIDE (WGME) -- After record warmth Tuesday, Maine will see a return to more typical wintry temperatures.
Wednesday starts with some sunshine. Clouds move in for the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-30s.
More snow and a wintry mix will arrive Wednesday evening and last into Thursday.
The best chance for mixing will be along the coast. Drivers should expect a slippery Thursday morning commute.
We’ll catch a brief break later in the day on Thursday, then another wintry mix will then change over to rain into early Friday where highs will rebound to the 40s.
Inland communities may see some freezing rain early Friday morning, meaning more slippery roads.
The weekend ahead will be cold and sunny.
