Four charged in prostitution sting at South Portland hotel
SOUTH PORTLAND (WGME) – Four men have been arrested after a “John” operation at a South Portland hotel.
The operation was conducted by the Law Enforcement Greater Portland Coalition Against Sex Trafficking and Exploitation, and consisted of officers from South Portland, Gorham, Windham and the FBI.
Police say a female officer acted as an undercover decoy, and the men contacted her to meet for sexual activity.
Four men were charged as a result of the operation.
- Sante Calandri, 60, Arundel, ME, for Engaging a Prostitute
- Timothy Pennell, 35, Wells, ME, for Engaging a Prostitute
- Allan Graves, 66, Newtown, CT, for Engaging a Prostitute
- Michael Walsh, 40, Millinocket, ME, for Engaging a Prostitute
All four were transported to Cumberland County Jail.
