Dozens of veterans and children with life threatening illnesses teamed up with local fishermen to have a little fun and catch a few fish on Sebago Lake.
According to the anglers, after being on the water from 6:30 a.m. until noon Friday, they caught plenty of fish
It was an event that involved the Wounded Heroes Program of Maine, Camp Sunshine and Snug Harbor Guide Service.
"This is the best. We're blessed and privileged to live here and be able to fish Sebago Lake, but to do it with a wounded hero, veterans and the kids of Camp Sunshine, it's just unbelievable,” Captain Scott Bartlett said.
And to top it all off, the captain says they caught a trophy trout, measuring 37 inches and weighing 15 pounds.
