Man accused of threatening bicyclist with gun during road rage incident to appear in court
WISCASSET (WGME) -- The man accused of pointing a gun at a bicyclist in a road rage incident in Wiscasset in August is expected to make his first court appearance Thursday morning.
Daniel Davis has an initial appearance scheduled for 8:30 a.m. in Lincoln County Court.
He's charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.
The bicyclist claims Davis sped past him, coming within a few feet of his bike.
Wiscasset police say Davis later threatened the bicyclist by pointing a gun at him.
"The first thing [the driver] says is 'I'm gonna pistol whip you, b****. I'm gonna put you down. I'm gonna shoot you, b****,’” bicyclist Anthony Vitti said.
