PORTLAND (WGME) -- If you're planning on traveling this Memorial Day weekend, you can expect some company.
According to the TSA, they expect to screen about 10 million travelers between Friday and Monday. That's a 14% increase from last year, and slightly more than 2019.
As for the roads, AAA predicts about 37 million Americans will drive at least 50 miles from home this weekend. That's about 2 million more than last year, but still below pre-pandemic levels.
In Maine, the turnpike is predicting more than a million vehicles, which would break an all-time Memorial Day record.
