More strong winds on the way could lead to more power outages

STATEWIDE (WGME) -- STATEWIDE (WGME) -- Another cold front will move through Maine Wednesday bringing scattered showers, strong winds and cold temperatures.

We'll see partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies Wednesday with the chance for a few showers.

Winds will increase over the course of the afternoon and it will breezy Wednesday night.

Much colder air moves in behind this front.

Temperatures will drop to the 20s and low 30s Wednesday night with highs Thursday only in the 40s.

It will be sunny Thursday, but winds will gust more than 30 mph through the day, making it feel even colder.

There is the possibility for more scattered power outages through the day as well.

We return to the low 50s on Friday.

Our next round of showers will arrive Saturday with highs in the upper 50s to around 60.

Sunday will be brighter but cooler with highs in the 40s to low 50s.

Strong winds Monday into Tuesday downed trees and power lines, causing thousands of power outages across the states.
