DERRY, NH (WGME) – Police are releasing further information regarding the deaths of a father and son found in a New Hampshire home.

Police are now saying the deaths of 39-year-old Matthew Edmunds and 6-year-old Preston Connor Edmunds are being ruled a murder-suicide.

Officials say the bodies were found in a bedroom that had been sealed with duct tape and a blanket. Two charcoal grills were also in the room, containing burnt charcoal and ash.

Police say a note was found hanging from the living room ceiling fan, warning them of “dangerous carbon monoxide levels” and saying they “will find me and my son.”

Autopsies revealed both Matthew and Preston died of high carbon monoxide levels.

The investigation is ongoing.
