Police seek witnesses to Lewiston confrontation that left man critically injured

LEWISTON (WGME) -- Maine State Police and Lewiston Police want to talk to anyone who witnessed a confrontation late Tuesday night in the Kennedy Park area.

Police say the confrontation happened around 10:45 p.m. and involved as many as two dozen teenagers, pre-teens, and three adult men.

One of the men remains in critical condition following surgery, according to police.

Police are planning to conduct interviews with those involved and are asking for help from the public from anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

Anyone who may have witnessed the confrontation is asked to call the Lewiston Police Detective Division at 513-3138.

The investigation is ongoing.

No other information has been released.
