LANDAFF, N.H. (WGME) -- Officials in New Hampshire continued searching for a Massachusetts college student who disappeared almost 20 years ago.

Maura Murray, who was 21 when she disappeared, was last seen when her car crashed on Route 112 in Haverhill, New Hampshire.

When police responded, the car was locked with nobody around.

Officials say the search is not because of new information but rather part of the ongoing investigation.

“This is all that a family like mine could ask for that the investigative team is investigating. Our biggest fear is that Maura becomes a file in a cabinet. And the fact that they are out there, boots on the ground, just brings a huge smile to my face,” said Julie Murray, Maura’s sister.

More than 30 officers came together for the ground search off Route 112 in Landaff and Easton, which is about four miles from where her car was found.
