GORHAM (WGME) – A longtime restaurant in a historic building has now gotten a makeover.
Those behind the project to renovate Sebago Brewing in Gorham raised a pint to the project Tuesday.
The restaurant is in a building that was originally built as a railroad station in 1853. Sebago Brewing moved in in 2001.
Now there's a larger kitchen, new bathrooms and a bigger bar, with room for more draft options.
Co-founder Kai Adams says they ran into construction challenges that forced them to be closed for four months, but in the end, it's worth it to be there.
“We knew Gorham is a really growing community, and we are willing to invest because we feel like we are part of this awesome community,” Adams said.
Adams says the renovations were also designed to keep the historical feel of the building.
