Snow, sleet and freezing rain to create tricky travel conditions for Mainers Tuesday

STATEWIDE (WGME) -- Another storm is expected to hit Maine on Tuesday.

This storm will bring snow, sleet and freezing rain, which will create tricky travel conditions.

The first flakes will start to fly around daybreak on Tuesday.

Inland communities and the mountains will most likely just see snow.

Coastal communities can expect the snow to transition to sleet, freezing rain, and even some rain by the afternoon.

Inland communities can expect 6 to 10 inches.

Coastal flooding is not expected to be a big concern.

Gusty winds of 20 to 25 mph are expected Tuesday afternoon and early Tuesday night. Winds are not expected to be extreme.

The snow and wintry mix will end Tuesday night.
