Tim Tebow Foundation hosts "Night to Shine" for people with special needs

SOUTH PORTLAND (WGME) -- The Tim Tebow Foundation is sponsoring hundreds of proms for people with special needs Friday night, including one right in Maine.

There are more than 100 people with special needs who are registered to attend the "Night to Shine" prom at East Point Christian Church Friday night.

They will be treated to an unforgettable prom experience, complete with a red carpet arrival, limo rides, a photo booth, karaoke and lots of dancing.

This is all sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, and is part of an international event.

Proms are happening in other states across the country and in other countries across the world, and it's certainly a special night for everyone involved.

"This whole event kind of brings out a spirit of love for the church and the community and I think it just has an impact, Pastor Scott Taube said. "When you're here watching it there's just a tremendous amount of joy you experience you just can't deny that."
