Two seriously injured, including teen girl, in Brunswick crash
BRUNSWICK (WGME) -- Police say two people were seriously injured after a crash in Brunswick that required two helicopters to land in the middle of Route 1 on Tuesday.
It happened just before 3 p.m. a mile east of Cook's Corner.
Police say a car drifted into the median and struck a large tree.
Officers say two people were trapped inside, including the driver, 86-year-old Shirley Anderson of Connecticut, and a 15-year-old female passenger from Nevada.
Two LifeFlight helicopters were called in and landed on Route 1.
The victims suffered serious injuries, according to police.
The crash is under investigation.
