Woman accused of stabbing victim with scissors arrested in Portland

PORTLAND (WGME) -- The Portland Police Department says a woman was arrested Monday after allegedly stabbing another person with scissors.

Police say the incident happened around 6:18 a.m. at 168 Grant Street.

The victim at the scene had been stabbed several times with scissors was taken to Maine Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say 53-year-old Jennifer Strugar was found on Deering Avenue and arrested.

She was taken to Cumberland County Jail and charged with domestic violence aggravated assault and domestic violence criminal threatening.
